THE ISSUE OF TRADITION AND LITERARY INFLUENCE IN ARTISTIC CREATION

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the analysis of the issues of tradition and literary influence in artistic creation. The theoretical foundations of tradition, which ensures the continuity of the literary process, and literary influence, representing intergenerational succession, are studied. Based on various perspectives in Uzbek and world literary studies, the article elucidates the essence of the concepts of tradition, literary influence, adherence, and plagiarism. Furthermore, the dialectical relationship between tradition and innovation, and the positive (nazira, tatabbu', tazmin) and negative (plagiarism) forms of literary influence are analyzed.
