Abstract

This article presents a comparative analysis of antonyms in the Uzbek and English languages. The study investigates the structural, functional, and semantic characteristics of antonyms in both languages. Furthermore, it explores the role of antonyms in facilitating text comprehension, their significance in identifying contrastive and opposing meanings, and their effectiveness as a pedagogical tool in language learning.
