Abstract
This article analyzes the essence of didactics as the theoretical foundation of the educational process. The role of didactics in defining the goals, content, methods, and principles of teaching is examined, and its importance in improving the quality of education is highlighted. Special attention is paid to the formation of students’ knowledge, skills, and worldview based on didactic principles. The results of the study have theoretical and practical significance and can be applied in pedagogical practice
