Abstract

This article analyzes the pedagogical significance of creative tasks in the process of forming reading literacy in primary school students from a scientific, theoretical and methodological perspective. The content of the concept of reading literacy, its interpretation based on international assessment criteria, and the mechanisms for developing students' independent thinking, analysis, and speech competence through creative tasks are highlighted. The research used observation, pedagogical experience, and comparative analysis methods.
