FAUNISTIC ANALYSIS AND DISTRIBUTION PATTERNS OF THE SUBFAMILY HARPALINAE IN THE FERGANA VALLEY
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article analyzes the faunistic composition, taxonomic structure, and distribution of the subfamily Harpalinae (Carabidae Latreille, 1802) in the Fergana Valley. The study recorded 1 subfamily, 54 tribes, 54 genera, and 251 species (including 30 subspecies) within Uzbekistan. Most species belong to the tribes Harpalini, Lebiini, Pterostichini, Platynini, and Zabrini. Their distribution in mountainous, semi-desert, and agrocenotic landscapes and their role in biological control are highlighted. The results confirm significant biodiversity and elements of endemism in the region.
