Abstract
This article analyzes the comparison of the plots of B. Polevoy’s “The Story of a Real Man” and D. Defoe’s novel “Robinson Crusoe.” The methods of thematic and comparative analysis were used. The situations of the main characters and the conflicts of the two works are compared, as well as the ideas of the two authors.
