Abstract
The article examines the role of teaching aids in the modern methodology of teaching Russian language and literature in higher education. Approaches to the classification of teaching aids are discussed, including material, technical, and digital tools, as well as visual, auditory, and audiovisual resources. Special attention is paid to their functional role in lesson structure, their impact on students’ cognitive activity, and the development of communicative and professional competencies. The study substantiates the importance of methodologically appropriate and purposeful use of teaching aids as an essential element of the didactic system that ensures the effectiveness of the educational process.
